Legislative and Outreach Intern

Washington Conservation Voters seeks one or two interns to join our outreach team for the 2011 Legislative Session (January – April).

Washington Conservation Voters is the statewide political voice for the environment and works to elect environmentally responsible candidates to office. During the legislative session, we advocate for strong environmental policies and hold our elected officials accountable for their votes.

Washington Conservation Voters seeks one or two interns to join our outreach team for the 2012 Legislative Session (January – April).  This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience with a policy and political organization. Interns will work in our office in the following areas: legislative policy, issue-base campaigns, political strategy, organizational development, grassroots capacity building, communications, volunteer coordinating and/or outreach to the public.

The intern’s responsibility will vary depending on the needs of the organization and the specific skills of the intern, but the following is a general description of the work. There is room for the intern to develop focus areas depending on his/her interests.

Please submit a cover letter and resume to Shannon Murphy at shannon@wcvoters.org.  Please include your availability during January - April 2012.
