2011 November Election Update

In the beginning of June, candidates all over the state will officially file for office. But for Washington Conservation Voters, the 2011 campaign season has already begun.

For months Washington Conservation Voters has been putting in place a strong political plan for the November 2011 Election. WCV and our local county chapters are recruiting candidates from Bellingham to Spokane, interviewing them for endorsements, and prioritizing tough elections where environmental leaders will make a key difference in local environmental protection.  Check back here for updates throughout the summer and fall.

JP Kemmick headshot“As a young person, I feel compelled to fight against climate change, but I do so not out of fear but out of unfailing hope, out of a definitive optimism that we can stop climate change and in the process bring about a wealth of positive change for everyone on this planet.  The political system we have in place may not be perfect, but if we're going to make real change, we're going to have to work with it.  Our politicians need to know that our earth is non-negotiable and we need strong action now." -JP Kemmick, Pierce Conservation Voters
