Endorsed: Cindy Ryu, Shoreline City Council, Position 5

Cindy Ryu is running for her second term to the Shoreline City Council and has earned the endorsement of Washington Conservation Voters for both campaigns.  Ryu currently serves as Mayor of Shoreline, elected by her fellow council members in 2008.  During her time on the Council, Ryu has championed the environment through her work to save Shoreline’s South Woods from becoming development tracts and preserving the Kruckeberg Botanical Garden.  Ryu also helped lead the fight to implement Shoreline’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy, Economic Development Plan and Comprehensive Housing Strategy to ensure development is coordinated with the long-term vision for Shoreline.  Cindy Ryu has proven herself to be a strong voice for the environment on the Shoreline City Council.
