Endorsed: Jack Block Jr., Burien City Council, Position 1
Washington Conservation Voters has made a duel endorsement in this race. Jack Block Jr. is running for election to the Burien City Council. Block is a former member of the Council and also served on the South County Regional Transportation Board where he successfully advocated for direct bus service between Burien and Kent. If elected he’ll work to create higher density close to regional job centers with a strong workforce housing element will reduce the need for large infrastructure investments, create critical mass for transit, and lower pressure on the transportation system. We think that if elected Block will be a strong environmental advocate on the Council.
