Washington Conservation Voters has endorsed Jean Thomas for Lake Forest Park City Council. Thomas has a long history of working for environmental issues, as well as a depth and breadth of knowledge of the environmental issues facing her city. She serves as a focal point in educating residents about the potential impact of the Brightwater wastewater tunnel on the Lake Forest Park aquifer. Thomas supports implementation of the final version of the City’s Tree Ordinance, and she is a strong proponent of protecting and enhancing the City’s extensive natural assets. In addition, she supports redevelopment of the Burke-Gilman trail through Lake Forest Park and is committed to determining innovative ways to increase the number of City parks.
