Endorsed: Tom Carr, Seattle City Attorney

Tom Carr is running for his third term as Seattle City Attorney.  During his previous terms, he has taken several steps to protect our environment.  During his time as City Attorney, Carr has been responsible for expanding the Environmental Protection Unit in the Seattle City Attorney’s office, building a staff of experienced attorneys who work to protect the City’s environment by seeking out and holding responsible those who have contributed to contaminated areas, assisting Seattle Public Utilities in increasing inspections and enforcement of laws prohibiting discharges of toxic materials into its storm water sewers. Carr is also a long term advocate for mass transit and, in the past, served on the Metro Six Year Plan Advisory Committee, the King County Metro Citizen’s Sounding Board. In addition, Carr is a daily bike commuter and encourages bike commuting in his office.  Tom Carr has made the environment a priority as Seattle City Attorney and has demonstrated a clear vision for the future of the City Attorney's office.
