John has been a key and consistent champion for bringing light rail to Bellevue.  He has also played a major role in putting aside resources to redevelop the Bel-Red corridor into a denser urban area that more responsibly makes use of Bellevue’s available land.  He has been a strong ally in support of the Mercer Slough and has invested in the upkeep and maintenance of this park.
