Ryan Walters has been a board member of Anacortes Conservation Voters and Evergreen Islands for almost a decade, and is also on the board of Save South Fidalgo.  Walters is an attorney for the Skagit County Prosecutor’s Office assigned to land use and planning cases.  He has been the Skagit County Sustainability Administrator since 2009 working on the County’s climate action plan and sustainability task force.   As a result, Skagit County has adopted a climate action plan and energy conservation policies, and made other advances including vehicle fleet reduction, building retrofits, and waste reduction.
