Councilmember and current Mayor Pro Tem, Stephen Buxbaum has had a strong relationship with Washington Conservation Voters and the local Thurston Conservation Voters chapter since he first ran for office in 2009.  He is a leader on creating local solutions to clean up toxic runoff pollution before they enter Puget Sound and other local waterways.  Previously, Stephen organized one of the nation’s first organic produce marketing cooperatives, supporting the start-up of many local family-owned farms and helped to secure funds for the Farmer’s Market in downtown Olympia.
