Tom Rasmussen has been a consistent supporter of environmental efforts during his 8 years on the Council. As Chair of the Transportation Committee, he has advocated for increased transit funding and complete streets. Tom also worked hard to pass the Parks and Green Spaces Levy while serving as chair of the Parks Committee. In the future, Tom plans to focus on reducing Seattle’s car dependency in order to lower greenhouse gas emissions and protect our water resources from pollution.
