Endorsed: Bill Finkbeiner for Lieutenant Governor

Finkbeiner has long been an advocate environmental protection. Throughout his previous legislative career he consistently voted to support environmental legislation, often times against the mainstream of his own caucus. During his last two years in the Senate (2005-2006), Finkbeiner received an 83% on the Washington Conservation Voters Scorecard and was recognized as a Senate “Environmental Champion.”He is campaigning on a commitment to decrease the level of partisanship in Olympia.Bill thinks the most important thing the Lieutenant Governor can do to help advance environmental protection is to be a vocal and visible advocate for environmental issues. He believes that, as a Republican, he can help depoliticize environmental issues and help build bipartisan consensus around policy solutions.
