Matt’s passion for the environment is informed by a background in science and GIS and a family history that gives him deep insight into policy and politics.  Matt has a deep regard for Whatcom County and its people.  He has dedicated his professional life to nonprofit education, at-risk-youth programs, and clean water.  Matt’s community service includes beach and river clean ups and trail work.  Both current representatives for the 42nd district earned a score of zero on WCV’s 2011-2012 environmental scorecard.
