- Endorsed: Governor Gregoire
- For four years, Governor Chris Gregoire has been a champion for our environment. She has taken on tough challenges such as cleaning up Puget Sound and tackling the problems of global warming, and she is delivering results. When we endorsed her four years ago, Governor Gregoire promised to make Washington cleaner and greener; since then, she has worked tirelessly to advance environmental protections that are good for the health of our state, our economy and future generations.
- Endorsed: Secretary of State Sam Reed
- Secretary of State Sam Reed is a conservationist who works to promote environmental issues through sound election policies. Washington Conservation Voters is pleased to announce our early endorsement of Sam Reed in his bid for reelection. As a political organization Washington Conservation Voters is mindful of having sound election systems and democratic processes that allow for voters to participate easily. As Secretary of State, Sam Reed has done an admirable job of ensuring just that and we are pleased to endorse him and look forward working with him in the future.
- Endorsed: Peter Goldmark for Commissioner of Public Lands
- Peter is a lifelong Okanogan rancher who shares our deep commitment to protecting the environment. The Commissioner of Public Lands has direct oversight of millions of acres of public forest, rangeland, shorelines and aquatic resources. It is important to elect a candidate who has a strong commitment to the environment and a vision for how this post can best sustain our state’s natural heritage for future generations. Since we face monumental issues such as global warming, Puget Sound clean-up, and forest management, Peter Goldmark stands out as the leader that we need in this critical time. He has the experience and the commitment necessary to be an effective steward of our public lands.

- Justice Fairhurst is finishing her 1st term on the court, having been elected in 2002. A former Assistant Attorney General and former President of the Washington State Bar Association, Justice Fairhurst is extremely committed to public service and ensuring access to justice for all citizens. Having Justice Fairhurst on the Washington Supreme Court will ensure that all parties receive an objective evaluation of their case.
- Endorsed: Justice Charles Johnson - Supreme Court Pos. 4
- Justice Johnson has been on the Supreme Court since 1990 and is running for a 4th term. Justice Johnson has an impressive resume of achievements in the legal community and is committed to preserving the integrity of our state judicial system. We are confident that Justice Johnson will continue to be fair and impartial jurist with regard to any case or argument presented to him.
- Endorsed: Justice Debra Stephens - Supreme Court Pos. 7
- Justice Stephens was appointed to the Supreme Court by Governor Gregoire a few months ago to replace now-retired Justice Bobbe Bridge. She has an exceptionally strong resume and has been given high marks by multiple bar associations for her intellect and understanding of the judicial process. She clearly respects her role on the Supreme Court and is looking forward to restoring the legacy of past justices from Eastern Washington.
- Vote NO on I-985
- I-985 would require opening High Occupancy Vehicle lanes to solo drivers for all but three hours each weekday morning and evening, creating havoc with an HOV system that has taken decades to build.

"It didn't take long, working with environmental issues, to learn that getting the most environmentally conscious officials elected is the only way to be truly effective." -Val Alexander, Clark Conservation Voters
