Pierce Conservation Voters
Pierce County Conservation Voters, a chapter of Washington Conservation Voters
Pierce Conservation Voters is a local chapter of Washington Conservation Voters.
Pierce Conservation Voters works to support environmentally responsible elected officials and candidates for public office to ensure Pierce County is a healthy and safe place to live.
Pierce County voters look to Pierce Conservation Voters as the political voice of local politics. The organization has had an ongoing successful history since it established in the early 1990's.
In 2007, Pierce Conservation celebrated many successful victories:
-
Tacoma residents re-elected environmental leader Julie Anderson to City Council
-
WCV-endorsed candidates Lauren Walker and Marilyn Strickland were elected to Tacoma City Council
-
University Place residents re-elected Jean Brooks to City Council.
-
Environmental issues played a role in electing Clare Petrich to Port of Tacoma
Monthly Meetings
Pierce Conservation Voters Board Members meet every third Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Everyone is welcome! Look for each month’s meeting location in the Happening Now section.
Get Involved
Join Pierce Conservation Voters and make a difference in your community. Pierce County is the second largest county in Washington State and we always needs more environmental voices to make a strong difference.
Help us endorse candidates, elect candidates and advance local environmental solutions. All of us can be environmental champions.

"I vote with an eye towards the environment because I think environmental issues are human issues." - Jill Politsch
