Thurston Conservation Voters

Thurston Conservation Voters is a local chapter of Washington Conservation Voters.

Thurston Conservation Voters works to support and elect environmentally responsible candidates for public office to ensure Thurston County is a healthy and safe place to live.

Thurston County residents look to Thurston Conservation Voters as the environmental voice in local politics.  In 2009, Thurston Conservation Voters celebrated many victories:

• Thurston County voters retained environmental champion Karen Valenzuela as County Commissioner.

• New environmental leaders were elected to City Councils in Olympia (Stephen Buxbaum) and Lacey (Cynthia Pratt and Andy Ryder).
• Tumwater voters advanced long-time environmental leader Pete Kmet from Tumwater City Council to Mayor of Tumwater.
  

Get Involved

We are a grassroots organization powered by individuals who know environmental leaders are important for environmental action.  We need all types of friends and activists to make our work happen.

Help us endorse candidates, elect candidates and advance local environmental solutions!  All of us can be environmental champions!
