Endorsed: Mike O'Brien, Seattle City Council, Position 8

 Mike O’Brien has a long history as an environmental leader and has chaired the local chapter of the Sierra Club for the past three years.   In this role, O’Brien has been a strong advocate for environmental policy in and around Seattle.  O’Brien’s environmental priorities include finding ways to increase density that supports self-sufficient, pedestrian-friendly communities, improving local public transit, exploring the creation of a city program that both promotes the economic and environmental benefits of retrofitting homes to make them more energy efficient, and invest in natural drainage systems that will reduce stormwater runoff pollution.  Mike O’Brien will be a strong voice for the environment on the Seattle City Council.
