Brian Bennett

Brian Bennett is running unopposed for Burien City Council, Position 7.  Bennett has a strong understanding of environmental issues affecting the City of Burien and currently serves as Chair of the Burien Shoreline Advisory Committee and is a member of the Burien Planning Commission.  When elected, Bennett is eager to begin advocating for a mass-transit infrastructure that serves Burien and emphasizes the need for growth in parts of the city that are served by transit and other services.  Bennett has also named habitat protection as a high priority and he would push to require new developments within a certain distance of streams to utilize certain low-impact development techniques, such as rain gardens or permeable pavement.  Brian Bennett has a strong vision for Burien’s future and we’re confident he’ll be a leader on environmental issues.
