This is the Legislative Hot List for the State House. It outlines the environmental community's positions on important environmental House bills and budget provisions for the week of May 9, 2011.
POSSIBLE HOUSE FLOOR ACTION
SHB 2053: Concerning additive transportation funding.
POSITION: SUPPORT SHB 2053 in current form. OPPOSE weakening amendments or OPPOSE bill if weakening amendments hang.
- Any transportation revenue package, large or small, must make meaningful investments in the entire transportation system, including transit, bike & pedestrian, and storm water cleanup.
- SHB 2053 was strengthened by the Transportation Committee by reflecting the diversity of modes people, businesses and commuters use today in our state.
- We oppose any amendments that will offset this balance by reducing funding for transit, bike and pedestrian, or storm water cleanup.
- Please pass 2053 in its current form.
