Seattle, WA - The environment stands to win big this fall given the number of quality candidates that are running for public office on strong environmental records and platforms in King County. The King County chapter of Washington Conservation Voters announced the first round of King County endorsements today which included endorsements of Gael Tarleton for the Port of Seattle, Position 2, Alec Fisken for Port of Seattle, Position 5, and Keri Andrews for the Bellevue City Council, Position 2.

"The Port of Seattle has a huge impact on our air, water and land," said Marcus Courtney, Co-Chair of King County Conservation Voters. "Gael will bring her experience on climate change and responding to oil spills to the Port and ensure that we protect the environment and foster our economy." King County Conservation Voters endorsed incumbent Alec Fisken as well based on his leadership on sound environmental policy during his first term as a Port commissioner. He has demonstrated commitment to taking a proactive approach towards keeping the air and water affected by Port operations clean without hurting the economic viability of the Port.
