Position running for: 44th Legislative District, State House Position 2
Jared Mead currently serves on the Mill Creek City Council after serving on the Mill Creek Planning Commission and spending several years working in finance. He was born and raised in the community and knows that we need a Legislator who will fight for Snohomish County.

Unlike his opponent, Incumbent Mark Harmsworth, Jared is ready to help his community move forward instead of stalling progress on critical issues facing voters in Snohomish County.

In the Legislature, he will be a champion for reducing traffic congestion, fighting to ensure we are reducing transportation related pollution and not forcing people to choose between spending time with their families and being stuck in traffic. Jared will work to secure a future for our children by protecting our clean air and clean water and securing funding for public schools in Snohomish County. He will prioritize accountability for our tax dollars when it comes to education, and will seek a fair and sustainable approach to fix our tax system that unfairly burdens working families. He will push for our transition to a clean energy economy by helping create jobs in the clean energy sector and supporting workers across Washington state.

If elected, Jared Mead would be a voice for working families and our environment. His background serving his community as a planning commissioner, city council member, and navigating politics in Olympia has given him the experience necessary to serve his community as a state Legislator.
