The Energy Council responsible for giving Governor Inslee a recommendation on how to proceed on the Tesoro Oil Terminal unanimously voted to disapprove the project!

YOU made this happen. Year after year, you have submitted public comments, showed up, and gave testimony that this project is simply too risky. You have demonstrated that this terminal is not in the best interest of our communities, health and safety, or our climate. Click to share the image to show your support!
- Two years ago, we came together to show that Vancouver was not just going to be an oil town by electing Eric LaBrant to the Port Commission.
- And earlier in 2017, we showed Big Oil that our democracy cannot be bought when we elected Don Orange to the same Port Commission.
This race was seen as a referendum on the oil terminal – and the public support wouldn’t have happened without you.
What’s next? The Council’s recommendation now goes to Governor Inslee to make a final decision. Once on his desk, Governor Inslee has 60 days to issue a decision. Sign the petition to ask Gov. Inslee to deny the terminal in his final decision! We won’t let up until this project is done but for now, let’s celebrate and take a moment to thank all the people who have stepped up in opposition. Tribal communities, public servants, health professionals, community and environmental advocates, first responders, businesses small and large, labor unions, fishing communities, families, people of faith, and activists from across the region.
