Thanks to the generosity of each of our guests, our sponsors, and our community, you helped us raise over $248,400! Our individual determination and collective efforts will ignite enthusiasm, inspire hope, gain momentum and help make the biggest impact in our state and across the nation.
We heard wisdom and encouragement from our speakers; they remind us that when we stand up together, we can drive positive change and solve Washington’s most critical environmental challenges. Rep. Pramila Jayapal spoke about the need to look beyond single issues and see the intersection of economic, environmental, racial, and gender justice as a way to move forward. We heard about Sen. Reuven Carlyle’s strong conviction that as a nation we are so much more than what we’ve become, and Manka Dhingra shared her story about why she decided to run for office. This gives us confidence that Washington will lead the way forward.
As WCV President Shannon Murphy said, “Politics is all about people, community, and our shared values.” We are incredibly grateful for your support and your commitment to Washington’s environment. If you didn’t have an opportunity to contribute at breakfast, you can give now here.
